1. Acceptance of Terms
By using SwapDrop, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old.
3. Platform Role
SwapDrop is a technology platform only.
We do not:
- Participate in swaps
- Handle shipping
- Verify users or items
All interactions are between users.
4. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Items you send or receive
- Shipping and packaging
- Compliance with applicable laws
5. Address Sharing & Personal Risk
⚠️ By using SwapDrop, you acknowledge:
- You voluntarily share your mailing address with other users
- You understand the risks of interacting with strangers
- SwapDrop is not responsible for misuse of your information
We strongly recommend using a P.O. Box.
6. Prohibited Content & Items
Users may not exchange:
- Illegal goods
- Weapons
- Hazardous materials
- Stolen items
7. User Conduct
You agree to act in good faith and not to:
- Scam, defraud, or otherwise mislead other users
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users via messaging, ratings, or reports
- Provide false information about your identity, location, or shipments
- Mark a swap as “sent” without actually mailing the item
- Falsely report that you did not receive a package you actually received
- Submit ratings or reports as retaliation rather than honest feedback
- Bait-and-switch — send something materially different from what your swap post described
- Share, post, or otherwise expose another user’s mailing address outside the app
- Abuse the Pitch In system (e.g., claiming rescues with no intent to ship, repeatedly withdrawing to access addresses)
- Create or operate multiple accounts to evade penalties, ban tiers, or reliability score consequences
- Bypass or interfere with the content moderation, no-show, or reliability systems
- Use SwapDrop to ship prohibited items (see Section 6) or to violate postal regulations
Violations may result in score penalties, ban-tier restrictions, account suspension, or permanent termination at our discretion. Serious or repeated violations — including fraudulent reporting and address misuse — may result in immediate account removal without prior warning.
8. Reporting & Enforcement
Users may report misconduct.
We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts at our discretion.
9. No Guarantees
We do not guarantee:
- Delivery of items
- Accuracy of listings
- Behavior of users
10. Disputes
We are not responsible for disputes between users.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwapDrop is not liable for:
- Lost or damaged items
- User interactions
- Indirect damages
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time.
